Emotional Intelligence Quotient (EQ)

EQ refers to the ability to perceive, control and evaluate emotions. Many researches suggest that EQ can be learned and strengthened. However others claim that EQ is an inborn characteristic.

There are four factors of EQ :-

1. Perceiving Emotions - Understanding emotion of non-verbal signals such as body language and facial expressions.

2. Managing Emotions - Responding appropriately to emotions.

3. Reasoning With Emotions - Helps us to prioritize what we pay attention and react ( things that garner our attention )

4. Understanding Emotions - Interpreting the cause of the emotion and what it might mean.
